It has a very realistic smelling grapefruit note—very similar to the one in Terre D’Hermes Eau Givree—meaning a high quality grapefruit note. It is a sporty essence that is distinctly Japanese—which has certainly become a signature for the house and its style after the first L'Eau D'Issey. I thought this would smell nice because I saw grapefruit and veriver and I absolutely love the time I layered Encre Noir with Light Blue Forever but this smelled nothing like that. It is much different than L'eau d'Isseey the original, should have used a completely different name.
