Description

The motor is a fully rebuild Trinity Horsepower 1987 World Champions with 13x2 turns and amazing 38.000rpm. Polycarbonate rear wing and side plates have been recreated as per the original JJ specifications. The large side plates deliver improved stability to fully recreate the style and drive feeling of the original. The Dirt Master is basically an RB5 from a geometry POV. So this makes a close equivalent to the RC10B4 from Associated or a TRF201.

I'd say they's an evolution change just between them. The Turbo Scorpion sat at the top of the trailing arm/metal suspension era. On the right surface, in good hands it could still hang with the RC10, but the RC10's design was still clearly the way forward (from a performance perspective). The Ultima on the other hand, was Kyosho's step toward making a car more in line with the RC10. The RC10 was completely dominant in the US until the Ultima came out. The Ultima remained its only real competition until the JRX2 was released. Actually, the word on those were that they worked like crap and didn't last long before the gear got chewed up. I don't think you'll find a single positive review of those clutch bells. Gearbox is equipped with slipper clutch to protect the gearbox and drive system from sudden load changes such as jump landings. Easy to adjust and adaptable to various racing conditions. Upgrade with optional slipper pad (SCW021 HD) for compatibility with higher power and hard driving. While based on the original model, each part has been enhanced and modernized to meet the requirements of the latest RC systems & power sources. Plan is to use Kyosho's Le Mans 240S 15.5T 4WD brushless motor and Kyosho's 60 amp ESC, a combo I am already using in a re-release Javelin and a Turbo Scorpion. The Turbo Scorpion has a top speed of over 37mph (60km/h) on 3S Lipo. In wet weather on 2S, it provides a top speed of about 25mph (40km/h). Both re-release buggies are fitted with front and rear sway bars, providing improved cornering.

The only way I'd recommend using anything up to 10T or so brushless motor is with a belt drive conversion and OT-74 limiter gear set (for the Optima), hard final pinion gear in the rear diff and a modern ESC that you can dial down the punch so that the car doesn't have too much torque on acceleration. The punch adjustment functions more or less like a slipper gear. Note that the limiter gear isn't a slipper gear, it just has a beefy spring or a set of spring washers (there are 2 variants) that protect the counter gear from damage while landing jumps. I did all those upgrades with my Barney Optima build and went with an 11T Tacon 3200 kV motor, I wouldn't recommend going any more powerful than that with a vintage Optima or Ultima...and far less than that if you don't do some serious bulletproofing. is there a parts list or a part number for this re re trans?? somewhere i can look it up at?? Thank got for having you own computer so you can hide what you buy from your wife Ya well I am old enough I don't care how loud my wife BARKS now besides she is getting new carpet but I got to pay for it !! so she can bark all she wants to!!!! I burned the dog house down!!! The gear box UT002 is the same gear box that I currently have in my Ultima and i have a spare gear box I just found in the old parts box so from the list I got from here http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/support/instr ... A_spop.pdf

The car was built, set up and supported by Swedish Kyosho distributor employee Jörgen Andersson, who was a brilliant RC-mechanic and -driver and who's now into real vintage formula 1 racing. Gear module has been changed to 48-pitch from the original model’s 8-pitch to deliver reduced drive loss. In addition to the newly designed 46 nylon 57T 1st gear, all other gears are upgraded to the sintered metal gears from the OPTIMA. Upgrade with optional diff OTW101 to improve driving feel. Then after an hour of dry time, two layers of white and after another hour two layers of bright silver

FLIGHT SIMS

Optimized geometry with aluminum steering link and metal bushings in combination with the servo saver incorporating aluminum pipe and metal spring design used in current racing buggies, delivers stable and precise steering feel. Upgrade with optional ball bearings and titanium adjust rod 50mm (No.92416). This kv motor thing is kind of stumping me!! I like good old USA RPM"s you know like the 427 Chevy Rat Motors

This design was so successful that Associated kept it in production for twelve years, making running changes and improvements along the way. This RC10 is a hodgepodge of leftover parts; ten or twelve years ago, I bought two large lots of broken and used RC10s, about ten cars in total, along with boxes of parts. I restored and sold nearly all of them, and built myself three examples using the leftovers, because I don’t really care about originality; I just want to drive them. In addition to the standard type included in the kit, more modern 2.2-inch standard wheels can also be installed. From what I can see, the Ultima (far from being my favorite in the Legendary series) is having some common elements with the Optima chassis class... And this probably also one of the reasons I didn't put it on my list of must have: when I was teenager, I dreamed about the Turbo Scorpion and about Optima/Javelin. I never dreamt about the Ultima, probably because there was the Optima...

Unassembled chassis kit includes wheels and tires for front and rear, unpainted body, and rear wing. For me this is more of a resto for both the ultima and optima but both a playable resto trying to digest all the new stuff

Opened the B bag and prepared the upper rods. 21.50mm is what the manual recommends and I'm pretty close.

EXHAUSTS

These days I started with a DT-03, and may end up at a Dirt master. I still play Battletech, on the computer. " are fist son got old enough so I gave them to him! Well he was not very kind to these cars and when he broke them https://www.hobbytown.com/castle-creations-sidewinder-3-wp-1-10-esc-motor-combo-5700kv-cse010-0115-06/p618577 These are the classic Kyosho electric buggies originally designed by Akira Kogawa according to what I could find online (years may be wrong):
