In 1989, Ramirez was convicted of thirteen counts of murder, five attempted murders, eleven sexual assaults, and fourteen burglaries. The judge who upheld Ramirez's nineteen death sentences remarked that his deeds exhibited "cruelty, callousness, and viciousness beyond any human understanding". [3] Ramirez never expressed any remorse for his crimes. He died on June 7, 2013, of complications from B-cell lymphoma while awaiting execution on California's death row. As an adolescent, Ramirez was heavily influenced by his older cousin Miguel, who had recently returned from fighting in the Vietnam War. The two smoked marijuana together as Miguel told Ramirez about the torture and mutilation he had inflicted on several Vietnamese women, corroborating these stories with photographic evidence. At age 13, Ramirez witnessed his cousin kill his wife. Miguel Ramirez was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity and released four years later. I've been interested in this case for at least half of my life, and I've been wanting to read this book for just as long, I'm glad I finally got the chance. When he reached adolescence, Ramirez began to meld his burgeoning sexual fantasies with graphic violence including forced bondage, murder, mutilation, and rape. [21] While still in school, he took a job at a local Holiday Inn and used his master key to rob sleeping patrons. [22] On at least one occasion, Ramirez molested two children in an elevator at the hotel, but he was never reported or prosecuted for this act. His employment ended abruptly after Ramirez attempted to rape a woman in her hotel room and was caught in the act by the victim's husband. [23] Although the husband beat Ramirez at the scene, criminal charges were dropped when the couple, who lived out of state, declined to return to Texas to testify against him. [24]

What followed was a spree of brutal murders, rapes, and robberies, leaving dozens of victims in his wake. Ramirez: No, because I believe that a person that ... a person that is destined or inclined to be evil will be evil with or without music. Music I don’t believe has a part in anything. Ramirez’s actions on his final night of terror—August 24, 1985, in the Los Angeles area—soon led to his capture. First, he was spotted outside a Mission Viejo home, where he unwittingly left a footprint, before the witness took note of his car and license plate. Later, after Ramirez raped another woman at her home (and shot her fiancé), the victim provided a detailed description of her assailant, who had forced her to swear her love for Satan. A sequel to the first movie The Night Stalker. An overlooked victim of Janos Skorzeny, the Las Vegas vampire, makes her way to Los Angeles and begins killing anew. She supposedly sleeps in a coffin and has had her canine teeth filed into points. As if that's not enough I'll go on.Jury selection for the trial began on July 22, 1988. At his first court appearance, Ramirez raised a hand with a pentagram drawn on it and yelled, "Hail Satan!" [122] On August 3, 1988, the Los Angeles Times reported that some jail employees overheard Ramirez planning to shoot the prosecutor with a gun, which Ramirez intended to have smuggled into the courtroom.
